Personally I think there's significance in the fact that Mr. Rogers doesn't try to claim that his drawing is just as good as anyone else's, and instead he's honest that it's *not* a good drawing, and affirms that it's worth doing anyway. I think that's important.
The famous Mr. Rogers is drawing a simplistic house in red crayon. He says, "Do you like to draw with crayons? I'm not very good at it. But it doesn't matter. It's the fun of doing it that's important."

Big same. I've been saying for ages that Pokemon drifted from its old-school RPG roots without the intentionality of choosing anything else to be instead. PLZA could be a real breakthrough. Splitting off traditional PvP battles into Champions is huge too.

It was literally created to be baby's first RPG (affectionate) and expose newcomers to the concept. You'll be fine.

(Excellent choice by the way, it's a real classic! I still have my old SNES copy! I'm always excited to see someone else try it!)
