Gotta hand it to Sliwa: “slapping fannies and killing grannies” to describe Cuomo is pretty good.

My mom used to call romantic comedies "sappy crappies." Too Much pulls off the trick of being sappy (complimentary) without being crappy. Heck of a rom-com!
'Too Much' Episode 10 Recap: Be My Wife
Lena Dunham cranks the wedding-comedy “and they all lived happily ever after” dial to eleven.

In this remembrance, @glennkenny.bsky.social describes Michale Madsen as cinema’s greatest on-screen “man you don’t want to mess with” since Lee Marvin. I think he’s right.
They don't make 'em like Michael Madsen anymore. Dangerous, magnetic, unhinged. Charisma for days. His partnership with Quentin Tarantino defined '90s indie coolness. Still sad QT's Untitled Vega Brothers Project never came together.
"We built this prison in 8 days" very much reminds me of the opening scene of FINAL DESTINATION BLOODLINES when the elevator bellhop says "they finished the Sky Needle 2 months ahead of schedule" (or something to that effect). What could possibly go wrong?!?

Can't get enough of these videos of Peter Thiel being asked by a friendly interviewer to "just say you're not the antichrist, out loud" followed by Thiel making various deep sea creature noises for 30 seconds before going "it's uh it's uh it's uh there are a lot of declensions here, interestingly,"

Ok now I understand. Anna Wintour took one look at this and quit.
Baumbach and Stiller were both working through some serious shit in this one. Very possibly the definitive Gen X midlife crisis movie.

My new standup special Positive Reinforcement premieres TONIGHT at 8pm eastern time on Blonde Medicine’s YouTube channel. I’m really proud of this hour and grateful to all the people who helped make the special happen.

I’ve been loving your coverage of this weird ass show week-to-week so much. I’ve gotta carve the time to watch.

On this date in 1981, THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER was released in theaters across the United States. Given the success of 1979's THE MUPPET MOVIE, a sequel was inevitable though getting there was a bit tricky, with script issues and some Muppet science problems to solve.

Dare I say it? Walk with me. /1
THE BEAR is back, for better or (mostly) worse. I’m fortunate to have AJ Daulerio on episodic recap duty, a man who has never pulled punches. He’s got a unique perspective on the series, and is unflinching when it comes to delivering both praise and tough love.

'The Bear' Season 4 Episode 1 recap: Groundhog Day
It’s clear that the writers on the show are using the Trib review as a proxy to deflect the criticism laid upon their feet after Season 3.
