Many commiserations on your post hitting the Discover feed and being found by Americans.
It's a great new hobby of mine, along with not collecting stamps.
one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

"We'll be resurfacing the road overnight. We'll try to keep noise to a minimum." *whole house vibrates*

Cool. Cool cool cool.

The kids are alright.
"The Green Party leader Zack Polanski also spoke at the event but received a markedly more positive reception from the young crowd. Once finished, he received raptures of applause from the students, with many even standing up and cheering."

Save money on police investigations by allowing friends, neighbours & family to simply turn in criminals that they become aware of.
Government: save money on expensive juryless trials by just assuming everybody charged by the police is guilty.

They would have done it sooner but the person responsible for denigrating every trans person was too busy trying to get quotes from all the TERF hate groups.
In the span of a hour, they stealth edited the article from trans woman to "biological male who identifies as a woman." The BBC isn't fit for purpose.
It looks like that BBC page has been updated in the last few minutes, so that's no longer the last sentence. I think part of it has been moved to this paragraph in the middle of the article, and the age is no longer mentioned:

Heathrow's plan for longer third runway chosen by government
Under the selected plan, the runway would be up to 3.5km long and require a new road tunnel under the airport.

You know how it is: wake up, log on, block a yank who thinks their experience of racism is universal & relevant to the rest of the world, move on.

Did you threaten to racism him?

I appear to have a strange problem where once the oven has warmed up and goes to turn off it's "I am warming up" light it trips out the electric. It warms up fine, and once it's warm the light will turn on and off, but the first time it turns the light off it trips the RCBO.

I'd like a distinguished-looking man to approach my family after my funeral and say "Agent Kestrel did so much for his country." Bonus points if it's in a foreign accent.

Britain has always been a reluctant member of the EU because it requires admitting that their equal other countries, and particularly France & Germany. Without changing that, it will always struggle to understand any argument for the EU that isn't "Easier holidays" and "Cheaper imports"
On balance I agree with Niall. As a Brit of course I share the suffering and humiliation that Brexit brought us, and it is encouraging that piecemeal ‘cakeist’ voices are being raised.

But as a European I want full-throated EU membership in good faith. Nationalist Britain doesn’t deserve it.
Jon Freedlamd in the G.

Are these on offer?

The customs union is reserved for members. Full stop. So not that.

And SM for goods only? Europe will wanr ita own say in how the UK integrates. It won't just allow cherry-picking.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Supermarkets at Christmas: You want to buy regular cheese? Fuck you buddy. Red Leicester is now Nutella flavoured Wensleydale with raisins. Double Gloucester is now a fig & olive goats cheese roulade. Get fucked.

Most people hear “heat pump” and think of small air-source units at home. But Germany is building one of the world’s largest heat pumps in Mannheim: a 162 MW river-source system using heat from the Rhine.

Big reminder that heat-pumps scale far beyond households — they can decarbonise whole cities.

France is also a strong contender.
I sometimes think "Is there a country with an electorate who hates their own citizens more than the English" and then yeah, Hungary comes right around.

STUDY: Denmark tracked over 1,000,000 children for 21 years, and found those who had aluminum-adjuvanted vaccines were linked to a SHOCKING number of cases of autism, asthma, and 48 other chronic conditions. That shocking number was zero.

Having read Glasman's rambling thoughts I am now more convinced than ever that Blue Labour are a (successful) existential threat to the Labour Party.
November 23, 2025 at 6:56 PM
If you're wondering why Labour are Like That these days, look no further than Glasman.
There are some truly unhinged bits in the piece about Glasman, as to be expected when dealing with Glasman, but seriously what the actual? That's...one hell of a conflation of terminology.
