Stumbled across this article earlier and wow. Incredible illustration of just how far backwards we've gone in less than 5 years. I cannot imagine the BBC writing an article like this now.

This is why it's important to understand what's going on. Not about accepting cowardice – but a proper analysis. Journalists are told by their editors across the country they cannot criticise Rowling. Not because they would lose a case, or would even sue, but because she has built up a latent fear.
I get where you're coming from- it's the same thing Rowling does with libel threats. The idea is to grind everyone down.

Excluding trans people won’t stop you getting sued | Good Law Project
Girl Guiding and the Women’s Institute have announced that they will now exclude trans women and girls after legal threats – but organisations can and should remain inclusive.

Nothing feminist and nothing radical in it either, it's conservative as fuck - I reckon just TE.
As a bonus, it doesn't use up as many characters, and TE can also stand for:
- Tight End
- Tracking Error
- True Evil
These people shouldn't be called TERFs but TERs. There's no feminism in their ideology.

Graham Linehan did a podcast with Joey Barton, while he was up on charges for kicking his wife in the head. JK Rowling didn't comment on that at all, but she did speak up for Graham when he was arrested for inciting violence against trans women in toilets, a move which won't just hurt...4/

Despite BBC's anti-trans language ("biological males who identify as women") kudos to the judge!
Says:
-Trans-inclusive loo policy proportionate
-Only this woman (0.05%) complained👌
-Policy "didn't put women at greater risk of violence, assault or have a greater impact on their privacy" than men.
😊
Good news for trans workers

After the Girl guiding and WI announcements, some comfort for trans workers.

A Scottish tribunal has ruled that a trans-inclusive workplace policy is NOT discriminatory against a woman with gender critical views in the workplace.

Considering the SC ruling said its decision shouldn't affect trans ppl's lived realities or rights, it sure does seem to be having a massive impact.

We knew it would (as did GERMs, or they wouldn't have celebrated so hard) but I'm still disappointed in every org that capitulates, however "sadly".
Stuck on this gutting sentence on the Women’s Institute decision. For young people it’s watching the world close to them before they’ve had a shot at life, for older women it’s watching half a century of progress vanish. Either way it’s grossly, unbearably cruel.

Good article.
One add: Cass Review cast particular doubt on young trans MEN's bodily agency. TERFs see trans men as women. Feminists MUST wake up to the fact trans men are the far-right's route to removing women's repro health rights. That's why they erase us.

How will we know whether MAS is simply Kishwer Faulkner Mark II?

This thread suggests a number of ways in which those who wish the EHRC to cease waging war on trans people and return to its vital objectives can judge whether MAS intends to achieve that change. /2

Me, one Google search later: “He’s a staunch ally to the trans community.”

Him: “Oh, thank fuck.”
