I'm digitizing all the blu-ray and DVD house media because I need the space for more books. #firstworldproblems

With MTV shutting its music channels in Europe, here's a minor anecdote from back in the day.

The year was, heck, I don't remember, the early 90s? I was working in a Tandy's (think a UK version of Radioshack) and satellite TV was picking up steam (this was before cable or even Channel 5).

Sitting at a divey Mexican place having lunch with my wife and Sarah Jessica Parker came in with an entourage being rather loud and obnoxious.

Better than that, I once held a door open for Matt Fraction.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Be warned - there's a decent chance your order will get cancelled after a few weeks of waiting for it to ship.

There is a non zero chance it'll show up eventually.

PWHL massively underrated the desire folks have for Torrent gear.

I'm ripping my "Gatchaman" blu-ray to my NAS. It cracks me up that this is 1080p content for a 1970s cartoon in 4x3 ratio that's 480p at best.

I just finished "Absolute Superman: Last Dust of Krypton" TPB and it was not what I expected at all. It's an excellent alternative take on Superman's history and what that means in a world where a single corporation controls everyone's way of life.

I just finished act 1 of "Expedition 33" and I'm not okay.

There aren't many times that I audibly react when reading comic books. The "well" panel in "Locke and Key" springs to mind as one.

The final panel in "Lazarus: Fallen" issue 6 made me go "OH SHIT!" real loud. Kudos @gregrucka.com, Michael Lark.

I really wish The Athletic weren't owned by the NYT. They do good coverage but I can't give them money.

Man goes to the doctor, says he’s tired, depressed, life has no meaning.

Doctor says, “I have a great cure! You should talk to FIFA! They’re handing out meaningless awards for political clout!”

Man cries, his tiny hands dwarfed by a shiny golden mistake,
“But doctor… I have a FIFA award.”

One of the few great tools out there that you probably didn't know about.

Ambling my way through a two majors, Zotero was about the only thing keeping my head (and sources) straight. If you decide to try it, be sure to include the browser plugin to ease your citation pains.
I've used Zotero (a wonderful way to up your research game) for years. I don't need to update it freq, I can access in app or online, and it just works. It's also free for a personal account, but today I hit my storage limit. I gladly handed over the $20 sub fee.

Last months reading stats are heavily impacted by starting the 1930s "Inspector Maigret" series by Georges Simenon.

They are shorter and that's inflating my books read numbers. #booksky

I can vouch for the quality of Jason's work. My wife is delighted by the HootOwlCreations bracelet she received (and no, I was not paid for this - genuinely, she was (and is) delighted by it).
I’m bad at capitalism because I couldn’t get new items listed on my jewelry store until last night. We’re not running any sales at the moment because we’re still very small and working on establishing ourselves.

If anyone wants a beautiful chainmail bracelet, please check this one out! #jewelry
