Shooting photos with a manual macro lens is a humbling experience. What looks like decent focus is, in fact, upon review with a proper monitor, a completely useless smear of colors and shapes.

I need to get a new tripod. I can’t just keep holding the camera. It’s apparent when I got tired.

Thank you! Yeah, the back end with Squarespace isn’t too bad, really. I used BigCommerce for about 7 years, previously and just decided this time I wanted something that is more streamlined. Payment stuff is set up and I have a commission contact form created. Now I’m shooting art photos.

My book release went well! I have already gotten "When's the next one?" comments and love to my little cinematic ad (in addition to more sales than any prior launch day).

My week's work was all about promoting that (and itch bundles, which have also made a few sales), so... yay!

Not great, work wise, but Thursday I had dinner with a friend I hadn’t seen in months and that was restorative.

I’m working on the jewelry website now. Getting pages built and the backend set up. Next will be product photos.

Eventually I’ll write that blog post…

Saturday Sampling - Marvelous Magentas! These are my favorite Magenta inks. Some lean more red/warm, some lean more blue/purple. All are rich and vibrant, which means they look great in any nib, IMO. Are there any other must-try magentas I have missed? #fountainpen

Just bc a book contains a protagonist between 10 and 30, especially a female protagnoist, doesn't mean it's YA. Just bc the book is written by a woman (or someone you incorrectly assume is a woman), doesn't make it YA. Just bc a book is fun, written colloquially, or has romance doesn't make it YA.
