The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

Not joking about this at all: if someone thinks it's appropriate to be cruel about young children drowning in a flash flood because it happened in a red state, they should not be allowed indoors. They should be out in the forest burying their own scat

Damn right. I saw a lot of "FAFO" and "leopards eating faces" reactions earlier.
These were CHILDREN.
None of them voted for this, and even the parents who did don't deserve to lose their kids as a result of poor choices.

I am not and have never been a fan of the Catholic Church, but Pope Francis was about the best I ever thought I could hope for from its leadership. Advocated for the poor and oppressed, encouraged people to embrace others and live a life of love and empathy. We need more leaders like that.

There is something deeply symbolic of our times when the richest man in the world is heading up the abolish of the agency that feeds many of the poorest people in the world.

I think now wouldn’t be happening if the entire nation wasn’t already suffering from PTSD from 9/11.
An entire nation will suffer from PTSD within the next 4 years because of this regime.
