I'm not saying signing a 34-YO who has been jumping North/South American leagues for the past 4 years is the kind of Legend-with-a-capital-L signing that #MNUFC needs (even if it's for half a season), but I'll take 4 months of this simply as a show of intent. It's been a long winter.
Here we go! Fabrizio is skeeting about #MNUFC!
🚨🇺🇸 Minnesota United are in advanced talks over deal to sign James Rodriguez. Negotiations at final stages, details to be sorted then all done with the Colombian star. James, keen on the move as @PSierraR @tombogert first reported. 🇨🇴

Color me crazy, but I think maybe the resistance is winning.
This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

🇨🇴💣 BREAKING: Minnesota United is in talks for a shock blockbuster move to sign Colombian star James Rodriguez, per sources.

Would easily be biggest star to play for Loons. www.nytimes.com/athletic/701...

I think City has a legit gripe about the first goal, though to be fair if ITOOTR Dom got the ball before Guehi's leg, then it's the right decision.

But it's myopic of Rodri to ignore the fact that he committed two very bookable offenses while on a card and got off... Liverpool fans have noted.
Manchester City midfielder Rodri claimed it was clear “people” do not want the club to win due to their past successes but that referees must remain “neutral” after taking issue with a decision during Sunday’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

#COTS Here's my hot take from today... Dragusin wasn't as bad in the 1st half as people are complaining (qualifier: he wasn't great, but also, his 1st start in 13 months against Man City, so some slack is warranted)... 1/

I do not understand how RKM continues to start in front of Tel. Tel's productivity in his restricted minutes has been multiples of what RKM does. #COYS

February 1, 2026 at 6:12 PM
I'm starting to doubt how serious some of these #COYS injuries are... I think players may be getting to the point where they are claiming to be hurt so they don't have to be embarrassed playing in this system.

Seriously, watching Xavi off the ball, he looks like a guy who has given up on TF's instructions and is just desperately trying to get his teammates to play professional football. #COYS
February 1, 2026 at 5:13 PM
Xavi is getting absolutely no help. Kid is working his ass off to create something and he has no 3rd man runs to work with because Bissouma and Gray and standing around watching him fial. #COYS
February 1, 2026 at 5:08 PM
Either Bissouma nd Gray are completely lost today or the coaching setup has prevented them from getting forward. Simons and Gallagher look completely pissed off. #COYS

The Loons also have had foreign players say no to contracts because of the current situation.

Well, this is great... now ICE is affecting competitive balance in MLS. I'm sure Don Garber almost cares.

@bellingcat.com will not stop exposing DHS bullshit. They’d already disarmed him. They executed him after they took his gun away.

Looks like the 2A is fair game now too.
Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...

As a #COYS supporter I know things are dire, but enough PL stuff shows up on my feed to suggest supporters of every PL team actually hate the direction of their own team right now. Even the Arsenal fans are pissed they aren’t looking convincing enough.
January 24, 2026 at 7:02 PM
Not to worry, I’m sure FEMA is raring to go and the secretary of DHS is not all distracted with any other needless actions.
Storms like the one threatening much of the U.S. this weekend can test a region’s infrastructure—and workers’ ability to respond, @nancywalecki.bsky.social reports. One expert told her that people should think of this as “preparing for a hurricane—except it’s ice.”
