Batteries can be recycled, indeed WILL be recycled considering there are valuable materials inside of them. Even when we need to dig for new ones, we can electrify heavy mining equipment now. Batteries are, yet again, much less of a problem than the systems they are replacing.
Yeah CETA sucks for sure no argument from me.
I'm in Ireland (an EU member state) and we have free water here from a socialist co-op, the EU never stepped in to stop that.
Lovely in theory but I think most voters would prefer we price the service reasonably and reinvest what small money it makes back into the service, rather than lumbering the tax payer (many of whom may rarely or even never use the post these days) with more burden.
There are rules that say you can't e.g nationalise an industry then run it at a loss propped up by the tax payer, but what reason would you have to do that? Why would you e.g run the countries post office at a loss, propped up by the state/taxpayer? Who would that benefit?
How so? Public ownership of e.g Rail, Post, utilities is common in the EU.

The inimitable @mikegalsworthy.bsky.social talking to @boldpolitics.bsky.social with Zack Polanski.

It’s this kind of discussion - honest, deep, fact-based, progressive - that @bylinesnetwork.co.uk makes happen everyday in our publications too. No surprise Mike is our co-founder.
An actual, real life, nuanced discussion about Brexit!!
Settlers 2 for Amiga? Really?
Feels like Labour are trying to create a total surveillance state. No that's not hyperbole and yes I realise there are efforts to do so all around the world. Starmer got where he is by backstabbing and deception so I suppose it's no surprise www.declassifieduk.org/how-keir-sta...
How Keir Starmer conned the British electorate
Book review: ‘The Fraud’ offers the most damning portrayal yet of the Starmer project.

They would if they didn't seem to have almost all of the media on their side.

"Privatisation is a failed experiment which takes all our money and pays it out to shareholders."

Do we pay enough tax for good Public Services?

Can you see the problem?

They are not Public, so they will never be good no matter how much you spend.
Skeletons do fall out all the time but the complicit media don't report on them. Personally I just can't see EU wasting time and resources negotiating with a country that has a massively Eurosceptic party riding high in the polls like that.
Depressingly he leads in the polls.
The rebate is gone, but I don't think given the geographical location of the UK that negotiating out of Schengen would be impossible especially given that Ireland isn't in it either.

Even if Labour were willing, I Hardly think the EU would have UK back with Farage doing so well in the polls though.

Your take is not wrong @hyperlexic.bsky.social. Solar + battery cost ($104/MWh) is already cheaper than traditional generation cost. It's also 22% less than it was just a year ago and prices are expected to continue to fall.

ah ok I see, whereas passwords just carry over, an attacker couldn't steal a passkey and re-use it on another device in the same way they could reuse a password.
I was not aware of that, So if I buy a new phone I have to regenerate potentially dozens of pass keys?

Deafening applause as Zack Polanski tells Zia Yusuf that people's concern over immigration is because he spends all his time spreading misinformation and fear.
