Over the past few decades our politics shifted to a more polarized reality. Republicans understood the assignment: they figured this out and how to deal with it, while Dems have an entire cottage industry of podcast and substack bros working actively to keep them from figuring it out.
weird how so many democrats from competitive seats feel compelled to vote against the party line (and national interest), but republicans don't. makes you wonder if they are taking bad advice that has little to do with electoral performance, and GOP pols know this

And yet, no one asks Republicans how they will pay for tax cuts or military spending or paramilitaries the way they ask how Democrats will pay for reducing child poverty or student loan debt relief.

No matter what Republicans do, they are still treated as "deficit hawks":

Trump: "So I put on a 30% tariff, which is very low. I got an emergency call from I believe the prime minister of Switzerland. She was very aggressive ... I didn't really like the way she talked to us, so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%."

Trump is trying to repeal the "endangerment finding" -- the scientific investigation that led EPA to conclude that climate change is dangerous to humans.

It's scientifically unjustifiable of course, but they're going to have to justify it to a court. That should be fun to watch.

Sen. Cynthia Lummis keeps a fairly low profile but on Jan 6 she was one of only 8 Senators to vote against certifying electoral votes. And her phone records were then subpoenaed in the Jan 6 investigation for very good reason. It's big for her to break with Trump now.

Make noise for all of them.

Public pressure got Liam released.

Now close the camps.
