By simpler I meant after the election it would be simpler for them running ScotGov in next HR session. Simpler than running a minority government. Obv it’s harder to achieve. Which is why I think it could be an own goal.

I understand that it is simpler for SNP to have an overall majority in Holyrood. But given SNP emphasis on this, it’ll be an own goal if what happens is a majority of Greens+SNP. Unionists/media will declare they’ve failed. Personally I think it’s stronger to have cross party proIndy majority.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL: NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW IN an amazing poll conducted by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like. However, 99 percent of journalists agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Rather similar statistic but for a different preference here in Scotland : majority of people aged under 50 want Scotland to leave UK. As for leaving EU, everyScottish region voted to stay. Fat lot of difference that made.

You’ve missed the point. How about if there was a poll showing 70% for Yes? The only things is everyone in the sample was aged under 50. Would you regard that as a representative result?
