To do a proper introduction...

I'm Chris. I'm deeply a security engineer at heart. I love building things and solving problems. I'm an Air Force veteran with time on active duty and in the reserves. I previously worked at MITRE and Fidelity National Information Services (FIS). (1/7)
Any of my network living in Colorado and willing to chat? I have some questions about moving back out there.

It is nothing short of genuinely impressive how much money Microsoft makes, compared directly to how utterly shit to the core its software is to use.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate #VA healthcare. I sat down with a nurse for 30 minutes this morning and two doctors for about an hour. There was no rush. They took their time. I received care. I didn't feel like I was at a drive through window. #CAVHS #VAHealthcare #Veteran

Coming on the day after Gov. Sanders gushed about Google's gigantic new AI data center in W. Memphis, this seems like it might be ... a cautionary tale? Trouble?

Constitution, not president or secdef. Remember that.
A lot of my friends and classmates are still on active duty or in the reserves. Others have transferred to their state’s National Guard and many more are still in government service in the Department of Defense or other agencies. This post is for you, specifically. 1/12

The thin-skinned, smooth-brained, fragile snowflake and America’s most special little boy simply CANNOT HANDLE being made fun of. It must hurt his widdle feefees.

Do more of it. Ridicule him into the ground. Poke fun at his stupidity. Jab at every single absurd thing he does and says. Don’t let up.

I do not know another way to express to people that trying to appease fascists by “being a good minority” or totally deferring to them publicly has saved absolutely no marginalized group or profession in human history. They are coming after us anyway. Even if you scold peers for not being nice.

Companies afraid to stand up to the brain rotted right wingers and tell them to shut the fuck up and sit back down.
If you're an executive, I get that you represent the org 24x7 - you're being paid like it too.

Everyone else? That's a tough sell.
Saw a post about pilots being suspended from their jobs for talking about the shooting in the US this week because apparently you represent your employer 24/7.

My question when this comes up (in any industry) is "ok why am I not paid 24/7 then?"

Sure, do this.

But also recognize that his statements are so heinous that there is NO context can make them okay.

This. 100% this.

If you're on a panel and someone says "we should start murdering these people I don't like" and you don't express how messed up this idea is, you're part of the problem.

If you say nothing and nod, you're expressing that you're on the same team.
Pressure is currently mounting against Fox news, all sources are starting to take notice of the trending story regarding Brian Kilmeade advocating to murdering homeless or destitute people. But do not let that take away from the other members of the panel agreeing. Hold them all accountable.

Police don't prevent crime. An equitable society where basic needs are met and people lead fulfilling lives does.
Investment in affordable housing, universal basic income, and social justice will do more to address crime than police EVER will.

If you deployed to Los Angeles, you followed illegal orders.

If you’re ordered to deploy to Chicago, those orders too will be illegal.

If you’re in uniform, you’re subject to the UCMJ and have a DUTY to not follow unlawful orders.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

There's 4 social networks these days that have 100% unapologetically converted into propaganda channels and should have been unequivocally blocked years ago. This failure will haunt humanity for decades. Mark my words.
How long will Europe allow this South African white supremacist oligarch and social media platform owner to meddle in our politics?

It's time to tighten social media regulation
