3 things I want to see for instant followback:
1) Your pronouns. Indicates you respect the pronouns of others.
2) Masks. I want to see that you give a shit about not spreading an ongoing pandemic and thus TRULY care about intersectional values.
3) ALT tags. You can set an autonag for it. No excuses.
I came back to my computer to order the next cross stitch pattern I want to do and the supplies for it, only to find that my LCARS project here was doing bigger numbers than I think I've ever had with my own posts on this site. Thank you for all the kind comments. Happy to make new trek friends!

I finally finished this Enterprise D LCARS cross stitch! Was supposed to take about a year, but longcovid had other plans for my brain and ability to count. So it's been over four years instead. It has a bazillion-jillion stitches in it.

Most of you probably need to drink some water right about now. Probably need to unclench your whole upper half, too. Maybe even go have a nice pee. Give yourself a few minutes to go do those things. The rest of the galaxy can wait. 🖤💙😷🥄

You have survived this long despite all of the trauma you've faced because you are strong. You shouldn't have to be strong, but you are. You may not feel strong, but you are. The proof is you being here to read this message.

Your chronic illnesses and/or disabilities are real regardless if someone else has it "worse". It's bad enough for you as it is. Your doctor should take it seriously without comparison to others. My sickbay has no medal podium, just care for each individual. 🖤💙😷🥄

Never trust those who claim that you must engage with them to validate your beliefs or existence. You are not obligated to attend every battle invitation you receive, especially those that are obvious traps.

Your mental health is as important to protect as your physical health. You have block buttons on social media. I recommend applying them as needed on a daily basis against anyone throwing garbage at you, or leaving some platforms for breaks or permanently. 🖤💙😷🥄

Trauma is not a burden you choose, but once you're stuck with it you're the only person who can choose what to do with it. It's a heavy burden, I know. I recommend converting at least some of it into fuel to propel you forward.

The existence of more than two genders is so entirely obvious, so culturally observable, so historically documented, and so scientifically proven that only a fool would believe or spew otherwise.

Purists complain about replicator food, but from my perspective being able to provide people with allergies/intolerances/illnesses delicious options that are guaranteed not to aggravate their conditions is an amazing medical achievement. 🖤💙😷🥄

Imagine if instead of reading about this in a British tabloid, you were hearing this from your concerned family doctor, who was also masked in an #N95, running an air cleaner in their consulting room, with the window slightly open (in wintry locales).

Imagine that.

Instead, after 6 years, no...

Practice saying, "No," in safe places so you gain confidence in saying it where it really counts: the unsafe places. "No," can improve your health, your mental well-being, and even save your life. 🖤💙😷🥄

The voice in your head telling you that you are worthless is lying. You are worth more to more people than you know, in part because we're all quite terrible at telling each other how much we mean to each other. I assure you, you are worth a great deal to me.

When expressing your pain and struggles, you're not required to acknowledge that someone else has it worse. Of course someone does. Someone else always has it worse somewhere. That's irrelevant in this context. Your suffering is real and that's enough to warrant care and concern.

Your chronic conditions are very real, very exhausting, very stressful, and at times very depressing. Any doctor who thinks you're making all of that up just for attention is both cruel and foolish and shouldn't be in practice. 🖤💙😷🥄

To be clear, this is a re-run. He has posted this multiple times over the years. Picard would encourage you to rise up for social justice any time regardless of how currently popular it is to do so. In fact, he'd encourage you more when it is less popular because that's when encouragement is needed.
I am confident in your ability to rise up for yourself and others in need. You can do this.

I'm happy to support any sickbay-safe tools and tricks that help you when seeking medical treatment. Not everything is sickbay-safe, so check in advance when you're not stressed out. Many clinics in your time have this same policy, so contact them and ask for support. 🖤💙😷🥄
