Hello BlueSky folks!

My very first official game industry job was working on System Shock at Looking Glass - which was previously known as ...
"Blue Sky Productions"

So I take this as an auspicious sign for the success of the game dev community here!
I am LTTP but just finished season 2 of Slow Horses and it’s really really good.

I'm glad I don't know how many people have pirated my games, because that knowledge would just be depressing.

Don't steal creatives' hard work. Pay for it or go without. If you're broke, there are plenty of legitimately free things out there to enjoy in the meantime.
I posted a buy link here to "A Magical Inheritance" a few days ago, and 24 of you immediately went to Anna's Archives and fucking stole it from me.

Yes, stole it.

I do not get paid for your download there because YOU ARE STEALING FROM ME.

After "film trilogy that dropped a critical plot point exclusively via timed Fortnite event" and "video game series whose story only makes sense if you're aware of the events of a canon pachinko machine", I feel like there are whole frontiers of user-hostile narrative design waiting to be explored.

Just saw the most insanely vibrant, complete 180-degree arc rainbow so I'm going to take that as some sort of positive omen.

Somehow I completely missed the existence of Echo Generation, but that Echo Generation 2 trailer looked amazing. I guess I should go back and play the first one?

BF6 servers seem in a very bad way. Haven’t been able to complete more than one match of Sabotage since it’s a pair of rounds and the server craps out when the sides swap nearly every time.

Absolutely devastating that our industry has lost the incredible Laralyn McWilliams, Jennell Jaquays, and now Rebecca Heineman within a couple of short years. We really will never truly be the same. We forge on in the shadows of giants, y’all.

Even if this doesn't hurt sales of this meaningfully, or even impact on the CoD franchise in the future, the idea that you would even RISK such a huge golden goose to save a trivial amount of your budget by using AI slop for your rewards.... it boggles the mind.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has had a bumpy start, accruing an 'Overwhelming Dislike' verdict on Metacritic on its opening weekend, making it the most unpopular Call of Duty game ever by Metacritic user score. https://bit.ly/44avv15

Conflating machine learning tools with GenAI and LLMs are such a favorite of these bad faith arguments, too. Like, machines studying X-rays to better understand cancer is not the same thing as Open AI swallowing all my books via piracy to regurgitate sentences that sound similar. It's just not.

I remember the fucking Lewinsky coverage. Our media have become craven hacks carrying water for rich pedophiles and I feel insane typing that but there it is.
