Just a little reminder - it may not always feel like it, but you are not alone.

My happy place. Green & purple weren't as messy & only made it to the piece. My small piece of furniture gets the most hopeful glow-up! I'm joining a super talented group of furniture refinishers for my first challenge entry in ages. Live on YouTube on 3/30. Details to follow!

When I get stuck with writing, I make something, and when the writing block subsides I'll go back to my WIP.
I'm content to be actively creating, no matter what area. I can't work to market, or to others deadlines. Inspiration comes when it wants and won't be forced.

Full-time creatives who make a living from their art, I have a question:
Are you like me and spread your creativity around to multiple ventures (words, paint, sculpture,) or are you singularly focused? I like the brain-freeing method of working on what inspires while moving all forward. Thoughts?

Support an artist! Sharing their post means more eyes on their work. Liking their posts tells an algorithm to take notice. Shopping supports them directly. All are valid and really help!
March Madness time!

For me that means I'm doing a blow out sale of old originals.

First Time Ever!

Savings up to 40% on selected originals for the month of March.

Well there wouldn't be an "energy emergency" if tariffs weren't just imposed on countries where we import some of our fuel. As I said on the other platform, I hope a baby bear vomits directly into his open mouth. Then I hope he meets mama bear.

Trump signed executive orders to expand logging on public lands while bypassing environmental protections. His “energy emergency” declaration lets him override regulations entirely.

Hey guys I know it's really hard to be conscious of your health right now, so please remember that after every hour muttering “wtf” to yourself while scrolling on your phone you should stand up and banshee scream for at least 5 minutes to stretch out your lower back

Today, I paint, write, and hike. These are the days I remind myself to remember when it all goes haywire.

A lot of people confuse writing with typing.

Writing isn’t typing.

It’s the entire process and yes that includes going for a walk or rearranging things in your office.
Sometimes you sit down to write and instead you think or cut or rewrite or unwrite. That’s okay. That’s a productive day because all of those are part of the process. Keep going.

Never was particularly good at poker. As spotted at the thrift store last night. No, I didn't buy the shirt, that would've been redundant.
Fired up and unafraid to show it.

Same.
It’s fun being a writer and trying to write during this delightful era. I’ll write like three paragraphs and before I start on the fourth I blink and I’m doomscrolling and I don’t even remember commanding my hand to click to that tab. Then I go back to writing. Everything is fine! It’s all fine.

See this "janky excuse" for a workstation? Guess what I plan to do in this tiny corner of this spare bedroom? Give up? I plan to complete draft one of my first best selling novel. That's what.

I've watched this video too many times since yesterday. The sheriff stepped away, to film the incident. Teresa Borrenpohl's rights were violated. Plain and simple. #firstamendmentrights

This week? Hmm let's see...
1. Had lots of fun.
2. So much I could do.
3. You for me?
4. 'Cause, I can give you more.
5. Don't you know that the time has arrived?
Huh?

I'm self-employed and my manager thinks this is hilarious.

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general.

If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

Saguaro are one of my favorite living things. They only grow in one place (Sonoran desert) and could be 75-100 before an arm appears. Talk about #resilience! They live in one of the driest places and house endless wildlife. We can learn from saguaro. Stand tall & #strong & shelter who you can. #love

This! INSTEAD of a blackout, shop small, shop indie, throw all your money at an artist you enjoy! They might just pay a bill and not a billionaire with the money they make. I have a book listed in my bio, but if I'm not your cup of coffee, find artists who are and shop wildly! #supportsmallbusiness
I've seen videos suggesting widescale purchasing boycotts to 'starve' billionaires.
Billionaires DON'T suffer from boycotts because they've already amassed A BILLION DOLLARS.
If people stop buying books/audiobooks/art we creatives cannot make a living.
Things are bad.
Please don't make them worse
