I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

psst, hey, @wiswell.bsky.social, you're awesome.

Also, did you hear that scientists tried to cross cheetah DNA with crab DNA? It went sideways real fast.

There’s something emotionally similar between driving along & realizing there’s a cybertruck in your midst as discovering while you’re swimming that somebody has taken a shit in the community pool. Just leaves you kinda nauseous and asking why anyone would do that .

I suppose I should figure out how to do actual author event stuff next April when my book comes out. I think I missed getting my copy of the Official How To Author For Hopeless Introverts Handbook.

Ok, stick with me here. This’ll be rambling & stupid but will definitely be of interest to at least 2% of you.

So, I have a tattoo that at some point I want to cover up. Not bc I don’t like it, & it remains personally meaningful, but bc the symbol has been co-opted by a mental health movement.

I really want to see the movie Rental Family but I know if I do that I will be disappointed forever that we don’t really live in a world where Brendan Fraser will just come hang out with me until I’m not sad.

1. Trump's Anti-Trans HHS Report authors have been unmasked, and as someone said, "Now we know why they were previously kept anonymous."

It's a who's who of hate groups and billionaire-funded anti-trans activists.

Trump's Anti-Trans Report Authors Revealed: Hate Groups and Billionaire-Funded Anti-Trans Activists
The majority of the “expert” comments cited in the “peer review” seem to be just as ignorant as the authors about the reality of trans people’s care.

So, I've had a handful of occasions in the last few months where going into Target was unavoidable, and this is what I found:
1. the store is observably messier
2. the bathroom was fucking GROSS.
3. the quality & appeal of merch was lower
4. often couldn't find anything I went in looking for.
