Lgbtq+ rights are a winning issue. The queer community are a major pillar of the democratic base. The democrats Abandoning them would do nothing but ensure a republican victory.
This needs more attention: Zohran SPLIT the straights with Cuomo. ALL of his margin was from LGBTQ+ voters. Every Dem who ever said “we should abandon the transes” needs this shoved down their fucking throat with a ramrod.

It is indicative of how little cis people understand trans lives that a woman who is announcing the organization's intent to deny trans women full and equal participation thinks this is a heartwarming story and not an indictment on her eternal soul.
This part is *infuriating*. This cis woman heard an 80 year old trans woman say, 'This is the only place I've been respected as a woman IN MY LIFE.'
And did not immediately think, 'I will fight every inch like a dying badger to keep her in my organization.'

I couldn't see her (me) for about a month. What's funny is that I started seeing myself again on an electrolysis grow out day. I have never felt so feminine with facial hair before. 😄

Most surprising change for me in transitioning is that I don't like coffee the same way.
I still like it. But I used to love it, crave it.
Now I have maybe 6-7 cups a week instead of 3-5 a day.
Instead I drink 3-6 cups of chai.
