having a 20-something classmate tell me that XYZ AI is "really good at QA" makes me scream. QA requires the ability to think critically, something an AI cannot do. but yeah, I totally want a machine that is wrong 60% of the time to make sure my software is too notch 🙄
My job is in Q&A automation, which has been a thing for ages, so we know better than most how sideways automation can go when done incorrectly. None of the very professional and intelligent people I work with want an AI component on top of what we already pick bugs out of all day.
