I honestly think the whole incessant pressure to attend college throughout my formative educational years was a sign of something being wrong.
As was the military recruiters showing up to a fucking high school, but apparently that's less of an issue than the violation that is "under god".

It's not that I think it's old news, but rather that it's a predictable outcome of how financial interests and poorly planned or executed decisions by folks in charge have fucked it all up.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
