🧶 I crochet (baby blankets are my favorite).

👩🏾‍🌾 I garden.

📚 I’m a #LittleFreeLibrary steward.

🤓 I’m very much into vampires, textiles/historical fashion, pirates, folk practices, & other randomness.
A small bowl of peppers, tomatoes, & okra that Zodi grew. A pink & purple granny square baby blanket that Zodi crocheted. A pink, gray, and white baby blanket that Zodi made in Tunisian crochet.

Miiriya Mutual Aid System raised $150,000+ for 150+ struggling people in just a small period of time, paying for their groceries, electric/water/phone bills, prevented eviction etc. The system already exists, now enough ppl just need to know about it so ppl meet their goals even faster, make noise

I created an app where you can shop Black Owned Businesses on one app. It has a Mutual Aid section and so far it helped raise $150,000+ people struggling in the community. Reaching out to Blacksky to help spread this, this combo of helping Black Businesses, simultaneously giving back is amazing and-

Printing presses kept their letters in cases.

Capital letters went in the upper case.
Smaller letters went in the lower case.

This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’

Ok, but what did we call them before the invention of the printing press?

MAJUSCULE and minuscule.

quoting this bc i think there are two different "means" floating down the TL bc women get called mean for like... having an opinion or wanting to be left alone. Mean with the intention of harm is something else and I think that's what the question meant.

Not talking bout boundaries. That part I understand. I mean someone who picks, calls names or gives a hard time.

What do you consider a mean woman? I ask because in my experience what people call mean for women usually is just a woman that suffers no fools, takes no shit and sets hard boundaries

Kriss Kristofferson took such good care of Sinead O Connor and I love him for it

And I’m also always amused by the Flanderization of Willie Nelson because he’s

Just been a pain the collective ass of people for years

Because he’s SO pleasant and a cornerstone of country and such a n OG hippie

Country fans are upset with Zach Bryan after he criticized ICE in a song.

But don't let it be known that Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash all despised fascism and leaned heavily to the left.

if there is one single thing that we should have learned from the last 30 years, and yet haven't, it's that the curation of information is an extremely difficult task - a science! - and that when you transfer it from trained experts to amateurs or automata, the results can be disastrous.

Anyway. I’m going to slide under my cozy COMFORTER and weighted BLANKET to read my book tonight.

And I’m going to go MAKE GROCERIES tomorrow and put the items in my BUGGY before getting in the checkout line. 😋🤠

One of the wildest things the internet ever called me country for was saying "bedspread."

Since I also still eat things my great grands ate (I was eatin neckbones before I grew teeth) I'll give y'all that.
zodi777.blacksky.app
These were the definitions we used also.
truekook.blacksky.app
For me it was
Quilts - handmade, maybe knitted/crocheted, may or may not cover the whole bed
Bedspreads - a machine-made quilt that covered the whole bed, no stuffing
Comforter - stuffed bedspread
Didn't know what a duvet was til I was in my 30s
zodi777.blacksky.app
Wait WTF? I know these are all different. 😒 These were just the things we had growing up, as opposed to duvets. How in the world you jump to yellow pillows from that?
zodi777.blacksky.app
This is how I learned “bedspread” is country.

We said quilt, bedspread, & comforter growing up. I did not hear about duvets until I was grown, & I still don’t really understand them LOL.

Can one of you super smart true crime folks start piecing together any commonalities between the SIXTEEN bodies found in Houston bayous this year?

Because our mayor & police are slacking. This is a matter of public safety.
zodi777.blacksky.app
This is really scary, y’all.
I love walking our trails & parks in autumn, but I’m gonna sit down somewhere until we know more about what is happening.
This is NOT normal!

Another body has been found in Houston’s bayou — the 16th this year, and the 6th in just weeks. Families deserve answers. When tragedy repeats itself this often, it’s not coincidence — it’s a crisis. City leaders must confront what’s happening.
