My competition piece is finished.
I've just measured it and it is longer than the maximum size which means I will have to split it and mount it. I'll probably do that onto a cork board and mount it with T shaped blocking pins.
Splitting it means I'll need to get my sewing machine out.

Sourdough discard crackers for lunch.
I know I could do a sourdough starter from scratch, I've done it before, but this time I bought a fresh starter online.
It arrived late yesterday afternoon and already I have discard crackers for lunch.

Psst! Pumpkins are a treat for birds but can be harmful to hedgehogs. 🦔❌

Keep them high up out of reach and compost any leftovers to protect our garden wildlife.

Having read through his replies, my guess is that is not a real account, it's someone in a scam farm stealing someone's photos and trying to get responses so they can turn around and do a romance scam.

to be 80 years old, (1945) then yes it is possible she used some of the early acrylic yarns. If she lived longer, say until she was 100 (1965), then absolutely it's possible.

acrylic yarn began being available from around 1940 but other synthetic fibres were being used before that, possibly as much as 30 years before.
Let's assume everyone had next generation when they were 20, if her 3x great grandmother were alive today she'd have been born in 1865. If she lived .....

Thanking the universe I wore a mask yesterday to the yarn festival. Came home and was ill within hours, which probably means I had caught whatever it was before I went, and the mask will have protected others at the festival. 😷
