Tactical Breach Wizards mention!
Played it earlier this year, had a blast. 10/10 story, characters, gameplay, none of the classic XCOM frustration. If you love tactics games, it's a must buy.

And 20/10 writing! Traffic Warlock Steve might be the hardest I've laughed at a game in years, iykyk.

tactical breach wizards main character is a navy seer who can see one second into the future. this means when a turn goes bad, you can rewind cause it was just his prediction of how it would play out.

this removes a ton of the frustration, and paired with funny, human writing, A+ game total gold

Autumn's usually my favourite time of year, but this Sept has been a tough one.
Caught covid, followed by joblessness, followed by grief due to death of a family member all within 3 weeks.

I'm so ready for this month to be over.
Here's hoping I'll find some joy and healing in spooky season 🍂🎃👻

I also have advice. Everybody loves reading advice on the computer, so I'll share it: the best thing you can do right now is log off as hard as you can. Go outside, talk to people in real life where it's actually kind of rude to talk about the news, try to actually see the friends you usually just text message. Go for a long drive and turn the phone off while you do it. Get back into your hobbies or pick one and learn it for a while. Watch one of those studio movies that reviews called "wildly miscalculated" and you haven't seen since high school. Play an album you like but find embarrassing. Go to free community events even if they sound stupid. If you take the freeway, try the surface streets. Go to a bad diner and just order some bad coffee because even bad coffee is good coffee.
You can't help anybody when you're exhausted and keep posting one million college-educated rewordings of "I would love to be dead right now" on the computer. Walk away from the thing and try out some of those normal things you hear about and if you get bored that's wonderful because we're not supposed to get bored anymore. It turns out boredom is the Cadillac of feelings.

Finally booted up Silksong for the first time after a hard day at work, it's exactly what I needed!
Just over 1hr in, it's magical so far, such a delight to be back in this world playing a game w this feeling again after so long!

I HATE when people compare AI to the printing press, it's so disingenuous. The printing press was opposed by the elites because it put power in the hands of everyday people, and popularized a vernacular. AI does the opposite, by allowing elites to bypass artists and laborers.

At which point all I can think is:

'If a person calls for physical harm to be enacted on others, purely due to them sharing a protected characteristic, I think they should face legal repercussions'.

You are allowed to hold hateful, vile, views; but you can't encourage violence.

I’ve done this for 2 weeks now and it *absolutely rules*. Best class discussions I’ve ever had. Best engagement with readings. They write in this worksheet for 15 minutes, then talk about their responses in groups of 3-4, then groups share with the whole class, and *then* we talk about the readings
