A Bronx high school student was abducted by ICE at his immigration court date and has since been disappeared across four states in five days in order to evade contact with his lawyer.

The US is now undeniably a rogue state.

Columbia and NYPD Crush Student Library Occupation Supporting Palestine

Wednesday's raid marks the third time in less than thirteen months that Columbia's leadership has requested the NYPD come on campus to intervene in students' pro-Palestinian protest activity.

(long🧵) Watching some gays & lesbians celebrate that heinous UK Court ruling against trans women has me again thinking about how little most gay people know about their own history. No, I'm not rehashing if trans people were at Stonewall (they were). I'm talking about the long arc of what it even...

This would have a devastating impact on Title 1 schools like mine. Even with those additional funds we barely have enough to meet the high needs of our students. Also I fantasize daily about breaking a chair over Linda McMahon's head.

One of the very moving parts of my interview with Edgar Franks, Lelo's comrade and political director of his union, for @truthout.org.

Jewish students at Columbia have chained themselves to a gate (already locked) to protest ICE detentions of student protestors. They accuse members of our board of trustees of providing information about students to ICE and are demanding accountability.

Over the weekend, DHS illegally detained #MahmoudKhalil, a Palestinian Columbia student with a student visa and green card.

DHS and the fascist Trump administration are disappearing those who organize against state violence. Khalil is a political prisoner and we must fight for his release.

Not hearing enough noise about Mahmoud Khalil from folks who like to quote the "first they came for" poem. Y'all get that the point is that they came for controversial, easily othered groups first, right? Now, it's trans people, immigrants, and student activists. Your turn will come. Fight now.

Accurate info on the Stonewall riots by a proper queer historian who is as attached to facts as I am. Read his thread.
You're wrong about most of this. Marsha was uptown when the riots started; Sylvia was in Washington Square Park, near Stonewall, where a lot of street queers lived. Both were at the Riots later in the evening, and on the many days they lasted after - Stonewall wasn't a one day event
