Not to downplay the damage that DOGE is doing, but we need to view it primarly as a propaganda tool. It has no authority to "delete" anything. It's a “temporary org” within the US Digital Service. Musk is deleting websites to create the illusion the Trump admin is actually accomplishing something.

if I understand American politics correctly, progressivism is something that requires 60 senate votes to work, while national conservatism doesn’t require any votes at all

i'm sorry this may be controversial but i think it's a little gauche to be already extending the olive branch to Trump voters before any of them have even remotely expressed remorse. you don't need to pre-launder their reputations for them

We are living through Republicanism boiled down to its essence: Everyone should be deprived of everything, because otherwise, somebody I don't like might get something I don't want them to have. We call it an ideology, but it's really a personality: Greedy, withholding, suspicious, angry, cruel.

I will never stop being mad about how the media has treated the anti-trans movement as a group of ordinary people with legitimate concerns rather than the obvious frothing bigots they are.
ABC White House correspondent just released ANOTHER anti-trans EO expected that we did not cover in our piece this morning:

A federal ban on funding to programs that acknowledge and affirm transgender people.
