Also someone needs to explain to, not just Rappoport (who is an idiot), but a lot of other people too, that the premise of democratic socialism is not that everyone is poor but that everyone can have nice things and afford an occasional date night out

Obviously as a Tipperary man I’m overjoyed by the incredible win today, but as an aside can I just call on the Cork County Board, the GAA and the Gardai to address the flying of an overt symbol of white supremacy & racism on Hill 16 today. Crazy that this is still going on and apparently tolerated.

Last year my wife had breast cancer and a double mastectomy.
This morning, for the first time ever, she was challenged in the changing rooms at the swimming pool. Her breasts were not what make her a woman - but, breasts or not, she is entitled to dignity and protection from vigilantes.

The government was wrong to cut winter fuel payments.
It was wrong to keep the 2-child benefit cap.
It was wrong to slash disability benefits.
Pushing people into poverty is the wrong thing to do. The right thing to do is redistribute wealth and power so that everyone can live in dignity.
