This sums up a critical issue.

"Warzel lays out why this moment represents a red line for the internet: It is a test of whether society will tolerate tools that silence women through humiliation and intimidation under the guise of free speech."
Given the grok horrors of the past few weeks and the crisis of impunity we’ve got on our hands, today’s pod is with the excellent @sophiegilbert.bsky.social on the ways that misogyny has been coded into these platforms and shaped our culture
The Problem Is So Much Bigger Than Grok
The internet was built to objectify women.

Elections matter.
The Virginia legislature today passed four constitutional amendments, all by day 3 of 2026 session:

—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

These will all go to 2026 referendums.

Publishing the names of protesters and contacting their employers to have them fired for exercising their rights is a tactic straight out of the White Citizens Councils.
They're going to start using the Kirk witch hunt strategy.

So she had a pulse. That’s what the doctor on the scene wanted to check. She wasn’t breathing, but she had a pulse. He could have started CPR right away.

Instead ICE barred the doctor from attending her and waited 15 mins for EMT to get to her.

So why has the company still sold less than 50,000 trucks since customer deliveries began 14 months ago?

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?

One the most remarkable things I’ve ever read
Private prisons are shrouded in secrecy. I took a job as a guard to get inside—then things got crazy

Yeah, and the Jena facility is bad. It's run by a private prison company so they slashed services to the bone, and there are tons of allegations of abuse and medical neglect. It's a bad place to be. It's also been that way for years.

I hope this opens peoples' eyes to these longstanding problems.
It really is in the middle of the middle of nowhere, far from any major population centre, several miles outside a small town centre. How can an eight-month pregnant spouse be expected to travel here to visit their loved one?

It might be “routine” but the cruelty is the point.
