Yes, we should totally base our constitutional understanding of citizenship and who qualifies as a citizen by birth through...random newspaper editorials from the 1860s
Prof. Wurman is now tossing about bits of historical evidence for his mission to undermine the 14th Amendment. Far from useful, this tells us nothing.

To start, this unsigned newspaper blurb was published in 1862– years before the 14th Amendment.

“Absolutely not. My great niece was 4 months pregnant and her fetus had no skull. And because of men involving themselves in women’s bodies she was forced to deliver the fetus… there’s a reason God created medicine.”🔥

BREAKING: Mississippi will hold special elections for state supreme court in 2026 because of our lawsuit to ensure that districts are drawn fairly to represent Black voters.

In a state where nearly 40% of its residents are Black, it is absolutely crucial that their voices are heard.

Why decline all these chances to defend feminism? Because to participate would be accepting the premise that our rights and humanity are up for debate in the first place.

Once you’ve conceded that it’s reasonable to ask whether women’s equality was a mistake, you’ve already lost.

Clear evidence that at universities conservatives don't face higher obstacles than liberals to establish student groups + invite outside speakers.

"These results fail to offer support for the view that conservative students encounter more difficulty in efforts to access campus resources."

This is one of the things I feared the most with a 2nd Trump term: that he'd refuse to hire anyone he thought would tell him no. He only wants people that - if he proposed doing lewd acts on live TV - would tell him how genius it is and how it'll get him a 3rd term
Obviously this is tacky, but the bigger issue is it‘s clear that Trump doesn’t have one person that says no to him about anything. That’s really bad for democracy, national security, and for any hope of economy bouncing back.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

The practical effect of overturning Humphrey’s will be that Republican presidents can stack the formerly independent agencies with their copartisans and SCOTUS will be cool with everything they do but when a Dem POTUS does the same Roberts et al will declare all those agencies’ actions unlawful.
In a memo John Roberts wrote just 4 yrs out of law school, he said the “time may be ripe to reconsider the existence” of independent agencies & bring them back into the executive branch. Now he’s poised to end what he has long called “a constitutional anomaly.”
