Mayor Mamdani consistently and regularly demonstrates that your mayor, your politicians, could be doing this at any point and they just don't because they don't care, and that's exactly why the establishment was panicked and aggressively tried to make sure he lost. They didn't want you to see this.

Somehow we turned that into wars and overtime and profit margins.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

A Washington Post article suggests that, beyond a certain threshold, larger homes don't make people happier. Instead, well-being is correlated with affordable housing in walkable neighborhoods where they feel socially connected.

When Lina Martinez, director of POLIS, the Center for Wellbeing Studies at Universidad Icesi in Colombia, studied the happiness of households in the city of Cali, she couldn’t find much difference between poorer and richer areas. “Their happiness is pretty much the same,” she said. But that changed when she isolated neighborhood conditions, such as access to transit, health care and parks. “The conditions of the neighborhood affect happiness,” she said. “I can’t link that to the space where [people] live.” That aligns with findings from a 2023 study of the Vancouver metro area: Researchers found no significant differences in well-being between people living in single detached homes, duplexes, townhouses, laneway houses and apartment buildings (basement units smaller than 300 square feet were the only negative exception). What did people say they missed most in their neighborhood? Affordability, proximity to family and friends, and a sense of community. Home design was eighth on the list."

1/5 Seeing some tech/ai slop accounts online claiming that AI has always been used in games, pretending GenAi is a part of that, when its absolutely not.

Yes, AI has always been a part of games in: NPC behaviors, Data Mining, PCG’s (Procedural Content Generation) etc

All different from GenAi!

Clark Kent walks in to an office "Lois? What are you still doing here?" Lois Lane, seated in front of a laptop, turns around. "Wuh? Clark? Could've sworn you'd be home by now." Clark pulls a chair to the side and looks concerningly to a stressed out and tired Lois. "You look out of it." He says. "Ugh, I'm supposed to have this article done by tomorrow. Dyslexia's kicking my butt right now. Usually my sister proofreads my stuff before I send it to the team." Says Lois. Lois leans her cheek against her hand in disappointment. "I haven't heard back from her all day. She's probably on an international flight and it slipped my mind." Clark asks "Why don't you ask someone at work to look it over?" Lois pauses. She crosses her arms and looks to the side. "It's tiring y'know. You double major in English and Journalism, but still get "compliments" about how good your English is." As Clark listens to Lois talk, the background transforms into space and stars. Lois continues; "I can't just be disabled and a writer. It's always something else." Clark: "..." Lois: "I don't even know why I'm telling you all this. It's not like you've ever had to deal with that."

Comic books are (and this isn’t hyperbole) the greatest story telling medium that has ever existed. The combination of text and images rendered with a human hand is the most direct path from one mind to another. All other medium pale in comparison.
