TIL what that cover art meant

Talk about Streisand effect; rename it Draking
joshuajfriedman.com
"No reasonable person would view the ["Not Like Us" cover art] and believe that in fact law enforcement had designated thirteen residents in Drake’s home as sex offenders."
To the extent that Plaintiff alleges that the Image and Video are independently actionable, Am. Compl., ¶¶ 7, 8, 65-66, 105-112, the Court holds that they too constitute opinion. The Image is the album cover art for “Not Like Us.” It thus shares the same overall context as the Recording itself. The Image is “designed to reinforce” the message of the Recording. Am. Compl., ¶ 7. And as the Court has already found, that message is protected opinion. Additionally, the Image itself, with its overlay of more than a dozen sex offender markers, is obviously exaggerated and doctored. No reasonable person would view the Image and believe that in fact law enforcement had designated thirteen residents in Drake’s home as sex offenders.

"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.

In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

Pedocon theory never fails

Honestly it’s the thread that explains so much craziness including the collusion of so many

Friends and comrades made a crowdfunding page for my family.

It’s really hard to post this. I know that there are a lot of other important issues asking for money but things have gotten to the point where we need to open ourselves up to your support.

Thank you for your consideration.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Lawyer: This shit slaps your honor, it's not my clients fault it hits THIS HARD

Judge: Agreed. Dismissed

Drake sitting there reading about how good the judge thought the song was and how everyone really enjoyed it
The song contains lyrics explicitly accusing Drake of being a pedophile, set to a catchy beat and propulsive
bassline. "Not Like Us" went on to become a cultural sensation.

Can you hear the words coming out of your mouth, Megan?

Yes, the guy who received so many threats because of your own actions he had to flee to Europe isn’t the real victim. No. You are, because people called you out.
Megyn Doyle, a student at Rutgers and the treasurer for the Turning Point USA chapter who started the Change.org petition to remove Bray, told Fox News Digital in a statement that Di Filippo's petition is slanderous.
"The petition once again proves that Conservative students are always on the receiving end of hate when speaking about concerning issues," Doyle said.

We never incited violence, we just called this guy a member of antifa who funded terrorism and told our followers to pay him a visit ha ha and then a totally unrelated group of people threatened to murder him in front of his students ha ha
"The petition to disband our Turning Point chapter is blatantly defamatory," Ava Kwan, outreach coordinator for the Turning Point USA chapter at Rutgers, told Fox News Digital in a statement.
"The accusations of 'inciting violence' and 'making threats' are complete lies," Kwan said. "The same people claiming we're suppressing their free speech are actively trying to silence us for speaking the truth. It's not just ironic, it's hypocritical and absurd."

The Rutgers TPUSA chapter — whose characterization of a historian there as a “outspoken, well-known antifa member” led to death threats and moving his family to Europe — think *other* people are being “blatantly defamatory.”

Not them, though. They’re doing politics the right way.

There should be a 1000 feet safe zone established around school, churches, hospitals and courthouses against ICE enforcement actions. And the National Guard should be protecting the people and not ICE agents just like their covenant with the people says…

drake, amazingly, still finding brand new ways to lose to kendrick lamar

NEW: Federal judge dismisses Drake's defamation case against Kendrick Lamar storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
The issue in this case is whether "Not Like Us" can reasonably be understood to convey as a factual matter that Drake is a pedophile or that he has engaged in sexual relations with minors. In light of the overall context in which the statements in the Recording were made, the Court holds that it cannot.
ajester.bsky.social
Drake should retire because this judge just buried him
joshuajfriedman.com
"The reasonable listener of 'Not Like Us' would conclude that Lamar is rapping hyperbolic vituperations."
“Not Like Us” is replete with profanity, trash-talking, threats of violence, and figurative and hyperbolic language, all of which are indicia of opinion. A reasonable listener would not equate a song that contains lyrics such as, “Ain’t no law, boy, you ball boy, fetch Gatorade or somethin’, since 2009 I had this b**** jumpin’,” with accurate factual reporting. Accordingly, the reasonable listener of “Not Like Us” would conclude that Lamar is rapping hyperbolic vituperations.

"The Court takes judicial notice" of press attention on the Drake–Lamar beef.
Additionally, it was not just the Recording which gained a cultural ubiquity,
but the rap battle itself. In deciding this motion to dismiss, the Court need not
blind itself to the public attention garnered by this particular rap battle. The Court
takes judicial notice of the extensive mainstream media reporting that surrounded
the release of "Not Like Us" and the associated feud between Drake and Lamar.
See, e.g., Req. J. Not., Exs. B, C, P.4 Accordingly, the Court must consider the entire rap battle to assess whether the average listener would take Lamar's statements as
objective fact or opinion.

Oh shit, ANTIFA is suiting up
From the sound of music. Seven children stand in a line inside a grand house, wearing identical light blue sailor-style uniforms with dark collars, neckties, and knee socks. They are arranged from tallest to shortest, standing at attention on a patterned rug with a staircase and ornate wall paneling behind them.
