Just remembered one of the small independent amusement parks I went to as a child was located in Middletown, Ohio.

There's a good chance I've been in the same exact swimming pool that JD Vance may have peed in.

The joke's on him though - I peed in it too (I was like 6, but I'd do it again).

this is how you know bari is incapable of operating at this level. pulling rank on some desperate lackey at the free press does not equip one with the requisite skills to try and fuck over a veteran correspondent who’s been on her network’s flagship program for more than a decade.
The New York Times updated their story with a statement from Bari Weiss:

I'm genuinely curious how this compares to electrifying the railway rather than the locomotive.

Either way, electrification has been stalled indefinitely in the US, so I guess Heavy Battery Train would be better than nothing

I think it’s pretty likely Bari Weiss quits far sooner than anyone expects because if there’s anything we learned from her tenure at the New York Times it’s that this lady hates working, absolutely despises it, and she probably had to send like four emails today

The DNC poured money behind Cuellar to help him win his primary against a young progressive woman. It was apparently "good politics" to back the anti abortion candidate.
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

The United Nations World Food Program has estimated that $6.6 billion could go a long way to address world hunger in the immediate term and $33 billion per year would END hunger by 2030.

Thankfully our economic system funnels all of that money to 4 or 5 guys who burn it on dumb shit
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the "Metaverse" has lost his company more than $77 billion.

I used to think that once web browsers finally had good support for modern CSS/JS features, we could use that energy to build better websites.

Instead, the entire internet feels broken and the industry has done little more than increase the surface area of vulnerability

There was a time I wondered if OpenAI was trying to do too much at once and I don’t wonder anymore.

They got overconfident and took their eye off of the ball. Wanting to compete with TikTok (Sora), Chrome (Atlas), the iPhone and SpaceX meanwhile Google caught up to their main product.

Wow, what a vision...

Working class people will receive ever smaller fragments of the value of their labor while ensuring whatever crumbs they do have can be funneled back into the pockets of the wealthy via gambling
The co-founder of Kalshi says: " The long-term vision is to financialize everything and create a tradable asset out of any difference in opinion."
