I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

We saw this play out in the LA fires. The wealthy people in the Palisades are already drawing up plans to rebuild, middle class people are scrambling to come up with plans. Meanwhile the historically Black Altadena saw elderly and disabled people die and vulture developers are seizing properties.
When I speak about climate justice folks often say “climate change affects everyone, no one can escape climate change even the wealthy” and that’s correct. But they have the resources to adapt and be resilient to it. It’s the ability to respond to disaster that is at the core of climate consequences
