This week we turn our attention to one of the most important policy documents of recent years, the U.S. 2025 National Security Strategy, released earlier this month. As the USA approaches its 250th bi...

The UK Government is unlikely to see most of the £148m it is owed by a faulty PPE supplier linked to Baroness Michelle Mone after the company was wound up.

Who saw that coming?

The firm led by Baroness Mone's husband Douglas Barrowman breached a contract to supply surgical gowns during the Covid pandemic.

The worst, most dishonest prime minister we’ve ever had, rocks back and forth in his Daily Mail cubbyhole spewing out idiotic bilge to kid himself that he and his disastrous Brexit weren’t an almighty national fuck-up.
A deeply pathetic threat from an abject failure of a man.

Lineker & now Ince. Even for those not paying attention it should now be obvious that the sort of people who whine loudest about “cancel culture” are the ones doing the cancelling.

The far right’s commitment to “freedom of speech” is an authoritarian joke & the BBC has disgraced itself.

Unlike Clarkson, or Sugar, Andrew Neil actually fronted BBC politics programmes, at the same time was the publisher of a right-wing Conservative magazine and freely expressed his very right wing opinions on Twitter.

Not once did he come under pressure to step down

Not enough prominent people are calling this out and too many politicians and journalists in the mainstream media keep doing this.

Refugee = not illegal immigrant
Refugee = not criminal
Refugee = person fleeing persecution or conflict

This is a matter of law, not opinion.
The conflation of "foreign criminals" and "illegal migrants" is disgusting.

Vile when some people don't have a safe route to flee from the utter detestation & brutality of war.

It's all grim enough without the Labour Government pushing further misinformation.
The Home Office continues to use language that its own data refutes

Fabulous! Amazing work by my brilliant colleague, Al Pinkerton MP. The Prime Minister must now listen to the will of Parliament.
🚨BREAKING🚨

MPs have voted to PASS our bill to establish a UK-EU customs union.

The Prime Minister must now listen to his own MPs, drop his self-imposed red lines and finally go for proper growth through an ambitious trade deal with the EU.

Interesting that the BBC will call National Rally "Far Right" (in an article about Bardella meeting Farage) - when they would never use that term for Reform. Their policies are very similar. If anything Reform's are more authoritarian.

I always thought it was brave of the Tories to front a mayoral candidate who was the batty neighbour from a 70s sitcom that they can't repeat any more because attitudes have changed.

I see the PM is being very rattled and very untruthful about the Greens again in the papers.

He couldn’t say this stuff in Parliament because he would be lying to the House - both about what our popular, evidence-based policies are, and about him believing this guff.

Imagine the reaction to allegations that Corbyn had made hissing gas noises to Jewish kids as a schoolboy - and then if he had responded to those allegations by shouting 'Bernard Manning!' at the journalists
The radio silence about Farage from people who are usually supremely vocal about antisemitism is so so telling.

The super-rich rightwing are pouring money into Reform. Do ordinary voters really think their aim is to even out social inequality and make their lives better? Do they think they’re doing it so Farage invests in infrastructure and public services? Ffs. Democracy being beaten to death in plain sight.
