In my experience, when dealing with people who would use violence and/or manipulation to rob the marginalized of their [already limited] power, an honorable person would use violence and/or manipulation to take it back on behalf of the marginalized. I shall call that “chaotic good code switching.”

I work in a maintenance shop that is openly hostile toward lgbtqia+ identifiers. So “outing” myself as such could (and probably would) jeopardize my wellbeing at work.
Then I remember that I’m an electrician with a technicolor mullet. I’m already “outed.”

In light of recent news coming from the abyss about diversity and inclusion programs, and manufactured hostility toward lgbtqia+ folx and their identifiers, the I-don’t-fucking-think-so in me wants to preemptively display a progress pride flag on my tool cart.

As Rs gear up to cut healthcare, Sen. Marshall says, "Look, about 70% of your health outcomes are determined by you. It's determined by what you eat & what you're surrounded by. By the time you come to my office as a doctor, I can impact maybe 10 or 20% of your health outcomes"
