One of the biggest challenges (if not THE biggest) when building for healthcare in the US is that it's not a matter of IF something will change, it's when. Everything changes. It changes for each patient, for each agency, for each state, and then federally for everything. It's all moving targets

I’m working on a 3d physics platformer right now called Oeuf. Wanting to take a break from interface coding, I opened up the profiler, to be surprised that a pretty innocuous function in my camera code was featuring quite highly: [1/x]

The limo seen in "Popstar" is crazy.
Also, "10 seconds is a lifetime. It's a 1/3 of the way to Mars" was a decent line.

Guys, blind people don't read. They just feel. So they can never say they're "well read" according to OP.
Dave, you can’t count a book as read if it was an audio book. You didn’t read it you listened to it. Two fundamentally different ways to ingest media. We as a country, need to stop people from saying they “read” 50 books this year when they actually listened to them. Absolute fraudulent behavior.

"The idea that the GOP would extend Joe Biden's ACA expansion was never going to happen" <-- This is a pretty stupid fucking conclusion to come to on the heals of the most unpopular President in US history, rising inflation, bad job numbers, tarriffs eating away at the economy, the Epstein files

Tim Kaine has to be one of the worst VP picks in all of history. In fact, I truly believe had Hillary put a little more thought into it than "I need a middle-of-the-road white guy to make voting for a woman more palatable" she could have been elected.
Whether it's Joe Lieberman going MAGA or Tim Kaine caving in on ACA, both vice-presidential nominees turned out to be assholes.

Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.

Mark my word, if said vote happens, it'll be done in the middle of a Friday night and it'll spend exactly 3 hours in the news cycle and Republicans will blame Democrats for not fixing the ACA
Reporter: What do you say to your colleagues who say this isn't a fight, this is a capitulation?
Shaheen: We have a guaranteed vote by a guaranteed date…
Reporter: There is no guarantee that this will become law.
Shaheen: There was never a guarantee that it would be become law.

I've been in over a dozen AI-based healthcare product demos over the last 2 years and the first thing I always ask them is "How are you planning to handle the eventual price increases?" and in almost every case the answer is "We're hoping it doesn't"

Why force a vote now when you can get a terminally bad faith party to make you a promise to take a vote at a later time when they can push all the blame back to you?
Jesus Christ, @kaine.senate.gov, getting a pinky promise to hold one single vote on ACA funding is not "a path toward fixing the health care mess" anymore than a lottery ticket is a "path toward fixing my personal finances"
“Um well there aren’t even any Senate Dem Press releases saying they support the deal”

Rogan interview in 3.....2......
Cannot overstate how unhinged and insidious what Candace Owens is doing with Charlie Kirk’s assassination. (Short version: a lot of huffing and puffing and “just asking questions” to lead people to believe The Jews Did It)
The final reason is antisemitism. Influencers like Candace Owens are promoting antisemitic conspiracies about Jews and Israel and those ideas are gaining traction with young conservatives.
@zackbeauchamp.bsky.social had a great write-up on this over on Vox.

I'm grateful that she held the party back at least a decade by refusing to cede power to the next generation of Democrats because who wants to live in a better world?
Like so many Americans, I am grateful for Speaker Pelosi’s decades of service and leadership.
