Normally, I’m critical of Murkowski getting more hate than her male colleagues when she votes for bad legislation.

Not in this case. She flat out said this bill sucks and she still voted for it.

I know she’s hoping the House bails her out, but this is unconscionable.

Last year Microsoft made $88 billion (that's billion, with a B) in profit on $245B in revenue. That's a 36% profit margin. The idea that they have to put 9000 people out of work in order to improve profitability is absolutely ghoulish. This is not a struggling company, they're swimming in profit.

His victims got on the stand and shared some of the most horrific stories and he was acquitted anyway.

This is why I get so angry when people blame victims for not speaking up or walking away. Why? Who will protect them, believe them, and guarantee proper justice?

Corruption is the brand
NEW: Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000 donated to a political nonprofit she was affiliated with, records show.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.

If so, it is time to start crafting some cool-ass laws. What a time to be a state legislator or an AG in a blue state. The Supreme Court just said you no longer have a boss. It's the last day of school, Democratic state majorities and AGs! Time to abuse some power.

The Supreme Court is definitely not my lane. I look forward to hearing what radical lawyers and law scholars offer as strategies for gumming up the works, causing legal chaos, and generally how to fuck this shit up. In the meantime, the rest of us need to be focused on our lanes and fucking shit up.

Difficult to overstate how many innocent kids will die as a result of the people who cast votes for Trump last November.

very easy to see what is happening. trump will run for a third term, he’ll try to bring the dispute to federal courts, where his election denying judges will rewrite the 22nd amendment to mean it only refers to “consecutive” terms.
This is becoming the standard line for Trump judicial nominees: All of them will say only that Congress "certified" the election, which translates from Polite Republican Lawyer as "Trump should have been reelected and only lost because of Democrat voter fraud" ballsandstrikes.org/nominations/...

When Republican voters surprise pundits, there's always a spate of opinion pieces arguing that we must take the time to understand the wants and desires of said voters. Apparently, when Democratic voters do it, the response is to say they're unserious people who need to grow up. Interesting.
