If you wait for a government to improve your life your life will never improve.
Trans people are not backed by massive pools of dark money, and we certainly don't have any friends among Britain's media or judicial elites. The only chance we have to improve our situation is for a resolutely pro-trans government to gain political power, and pass new legisltation for our rights.
power is what matters, that's what institutions respond to, not what's right, not good arguments. and we need to build that power and exercise it ruthlessly.
