Actually, there is INCREDIBLE profit in solving societal problems. The economy isn’t a 0-sum game, as any group gets lifted, it lifts everyone around them too. Societies with strong middle classes tend to have a MUCH higher quality of life because their citizens are equally invested in improvements.

good video but it's a shame adoption didn't get brought into the conversation. not wanting to risk bringing new children into the violence society makes sense, but there are so many trans and queer kids who already exist who need homes but don't have them. adults have obligations to them, I think
