“National Divorce” is a nonstarter unless you literally want war between the states again
Yeah because I’m from a red state and even if I didn’t care about that because I live in a blue one now, red states being hostile barbarian countries is even more dangerous than having them in the tent even lightly fettered by the chain of civilization.
Honest question to Americans out there.

Do you seriously still believe in the ‘United’ States of America?

Wouldn’t you be better of without having to:
- Subsidise GoP run states?
- Worry about air controllers?
- Being told my men what you can do with your body
- Worry about Guns again and again?

The endgame here is getting the Supreme Court to declare that the entire civil service system is unconstitutional. Which is to say, this administration does not want us to be a modern, efficient, globally competitive nation-state.

AP on Trump now, and Biden in June 2022.

For Trump, declining to 36 percent approval is “good news.”

For Biden, holding steady at 41% is “a source of concern.”

When will “don’t tread on me” Republicans wake up and realize their guy Trump is now the Trojan horse for his oligarch donors to do all the things they’ve been worried about?

I don't know how this would work, but we need a new cancel culture for cynicism. The most powerful tool in the authoritarian's box is the ability to convince people that nothing matters.

Kelly: He runs around on stage talking about lethality and the warrior ethos.. That’s not the message that should be coming from the Secretary of Defense… He runs around on a stage like he’s a 12 year old playing army. It’s embarrassing.

The only people who endlessly complain about color revolutions are dipshit leftie campists and Q-pilled right-wingers and the thing they have in common is they're both huffing Russian propaganda

The critical thing here is that Leavitt is distancing Hegseth from the final act of delivering the ultimate order for the strike that killed the two men in the water. She only acknowledges that Hegseth directed the initial destroying of the boat.

That raises new Qs:

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

The only reason to have the military in D.C. is to increase tensions and antagonize people to the point they over-react, creating "justification" for increasing crackdowns on innocent people. It's all a con.
