Much of SF lost power last night. Waymos blocked intersections across the city, even though they are Wayless than 1% of cars on the roads. They accumulated at their failure points--intersections with no green lights, in busy areas, and shut down traffic there.

A different but in my mind related issue: see also the shock horror at white Europeans being detained or denied access at the US border, while the historical detention and (mis) treatment of migrants 'of colour' has been mostly either ignored or considered normal and just.
Nothing quite like being in the UK and watching the BBC to see the double standard so clearly, but Guardian and others do it too. Israel gets the white-approved legitimate-by-default treatment, Palestinians are untrustworthy brown Hamas. It's *extraordinarily* racist.

Among my regular passengers on the 44 are two young boys who ride with their grandma from California and 6th Ave all the way to Silver and Palou. The older brother is possibly a 2nd grader. Last night as they were getting off my bus, he handed me this hand made envelope.
