The mistake being made about Meta is to say they're just doing this to make conservatives happy. They've been doing that a decade+. Removing fact checkers and bringing back political content means there will be more stuff that gets more people mad which creates more engagement. Growth at all costs.

there's a bit of incoherence in a political and cultural establishment decrying violence, in the same country where you can *3-D print a handgun*.

An Indian initiative to preserve vanishing groundwater by delaying the annual sowing of rice has led to a dramatic worsening of air pollution in New Delhi and the surrounding region.
How a change in rice farming unexpectedly made India’s air so much worse
No one anticipated that an initiative to save groundwater by delaying the annual rice season would aggravate northern India’s already miserable air pollution.

The only way to take on the industrial-grade climate disinformation machine is with a swift, coordinated approach.

Glad to learn of the launch of this information integrity initiative and see it join the fight to dismantle fossil fuel-funded lies.

There's something I need people to understand.

The studio that made this released some numbers. They had to produce 85 minutes of footage to find 15 usable seconds for this ad.

The machine that creates moving images out of nothing has a failure rate of 340:1 and the best 15 seconds... is this.

Can’t stop thinking about how many Americans voted for Trump because of inflation, and how how US oil companies illegally colluded to fix prices — which sent inflationary shock waves through the economy — and how Trump is expected to end the investigation on their actions.

The rest of our peers are making progress to cut emissions while Canada is uniquely behind. We need to dispense with this idea emissions reductions are too difficult to do fast & the idea international climate diplomacy is pointless. It's working elsewhere.

We are incorrigible
Our two-year research on living in the mobility transition found this too. In some places like Norway 🇳🇴 EV ownership led to many one-car households buying a second car, increasing traffic congestion. www.bloomsbury.com/uk/moving-to...
