Wake Up Dead Man: the mystery plot maybe got a bit too convoluted and explain-y by the end. But the actual story, about balancing faith and rationality, justice and mercy - above all grace - is so perfectly done. That phone call scene, just remarkable.

One aspect of having kids they don't tell you about: you have to watch most movies across two evenings, with the hour or so you get after they're asleep. Quite frustrating when it's a good movie!
