In 2003, I rang up a 6 pack of beer for Bachelor Bob who was on the second or third season of that show. His band practiced not far from the grocery store I worked at, and the purchase lent itself to identity confirmation.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

A stat that FEELS true even if I don't know if it IS true: the Lions are undefeated when Kerby Joseph has an interception.

There is a dog Larkin's age at her school named Michael. I found out recently that his human dad's name is Mike, and this delights me to no end.

My opinion that the spotify dj has an annoying voice remains, but never would I myself have created a playlist putting All Too Well TMV back to back with Bright Eyes' Easy/Lucky/Free so I do have to hand it to them for that.

If Chicago never again had the air portion of the air and water show, that'd be absolutely great. These planes are ruining my day.

In 2017 or 2018, I went through and got rid of all my law school stuff from 2005-2008. Outdated, I don't need it, etc. Anyway, I kept my constitutional law book, but apparently I shouldn't have bothered. A bunch of spineless losers are ruining everything.
From Sotomayor's dissent, which she's now reading from the bench:

"The President has made a 'solemn mockery' of our Constitution. Rather than stand firm, the Court gives way. Because such complicity should know no place in our system of law, I dissent." www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

all of the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence about executive power - all of it - can be replaced with a simple flow chart. is the president a Republican? if so it’s ok. if not, it’s presumptively not ok.

Update! I discovered I was added to someone's starter pack/list. I messaged them asking to be removed, and they did! So, hi new folks, probably not going to get a lot of the content you thought you might, but you're welcome to stay.
Can we get locked accounts yet or no? I'm tired of this. Like these are not real people.

I wish Bluesky would let me see what it is I've blocked that others are replying to. At least just the account name? Like I promise I can handle seeing the name of whoever I blocked without it ruining my day.

I can taste the "opaque pegasus" ones now. These were GOOD.
The Berry Bears (1988-circa 1992): A line of fruit snacks, based around a fictional family/world of bear characters. Famous for the opaque pegasus pieces, representing the flying horse pet from the lore-and-magic filled commercials-- think Berenstain Bears meets Rainbow Brite.

I don't love these Pistons west coast games being on past my bedtime, but I DO love watching a game replay the next morning. I especially love knowing the outcome so I don't get all emo when we're down 11 in the 2nd quarter.

I saw this recently, have been doing it, and would like to share. If you use google to search for things, because you're a human in 2024, you can put (no quotes needed) "-AI" at the end of your query. This gets rid of the usually wrong AI mashup at the top and right to the actual info you want.

Regular Hershey kisses are underrated, I think. Am I the most basic of bitches, interested only in milk chocolate? Yes. But also, I'm enjoying this bag of Grinch wrapped ones I bought.
December 17, 2024 at 11:29 PM
The worst part of wrapping presents is the "why did I even buy this, they will hate it" feelings that inevitably arise. It's the only thing I ever feel impostor-y about, and I really do not enjoy it!
