La linea scura all'orizzonte non è nient'altro che smog. La situazione in Liguria è quasi buona rispetto a quella in Pianura, dove lo smog è talmente spesso che si vede persino dal Metop C, il cui sensore non è assolutamente adatto allo scopo.

Le temperature superficiali dei mari, soprattutto quelli del nord emisfero, sono troppo alte.

L'oceano Pacifico, il più esteso della Terra, nella sua parte boreale mostra anomalie positive estreme, così come la parte più settentrionale del Nord Atlantico.
