theopennotebook.bsky.social
You asked. We made it!

In celebrating 15 years of TON, we've finally created merch -from T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, hats, totes—and yes, notebooks!—to represent TON out in the world. Yes, we have special 15th birthday merch, too! #TON15 www.bonfire.com/store/the-op...

NEW: Since October 2023, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit has released dozens of 3D animations illustrating alleged Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian sites

The style is now unmistakable: satellite zoom-ins, black & white wireframes, and red-textured houses - a new visual language of war

I think this is a thread-legged bug in the genus Empicoris (Reduviidae), one of several I've found crawling around on redbud seedpods. I don't have proof but I'd wager they are hunting barklice. #insects #hemiptera
Small, elongate insect that has extremely long, white-and-black-striped legs. It's next to a seed that has a hole in it.

ICE is not only chasing down every random brown person in Chicago, they have a cameraman following them to film this for social media. Cruelty and inhumanity as content.

This year’s flu vaccine - about 50% effective
AND may cut healthcare visits & hospitalizations in HALF 🤯
(That’s HUGE! ’specially for those with chronic diseases or older than 65yo.)

(Can you tell we love this campgin & really miss our CDC comms ppl?!)
Green background. WildtoMild campaign. This one shows a crocodile (wild) and a cute lil’ gekko (maybe? lizard? it’s yellow and small and cute) (mild). It says “A Flu Vaccine can take Flu from Wild to Mild. If you have an underlying condition, talk to your provider about a flu vaccine. #Fight Flu” from the CDC

I like your version better than Wkt's but even Online Etymology supports Wkt's, though I can't be bothered to walk downstairs and look at 1) OED and 2) American Heritage.

UNDERPERFORMER

While some fast-moving showers/downpours still sweeping through area, overnight rainfall of 0.1 to .25 inches was less than predicted.

We need more but may get more late this weekend and early next week.
