A constitutional challenge has been launched against controversial laws in New South Wales that restrict protest actions for up to three months after terrorist incidents, introduced following the December Bondi attack.
The groups the Blak Caucus, Palestine Action Group (PAG) and Jews Against the Occupation ‘48 filed the challenge in the NSW supreme court on Wednesday, arguing in the court summons that the laws are invalid because they “impermissibly burden the implied constitutional freedom of communication on government and political matters”. 5 tiny shelf projects finished, supplies sorted/put in their bins (hardware, projects, supplies). Moar green lights. Some organization of bills and stuff, oven mitt hung on wall, new shelf by bed (head of the bed side-shelves is a nightmare)

being autistic has ruined a lot for me i have a legitimate disability and keep pretending i don’t i try so hard to fit in and understand and have correct opinions like everyone but it’s like i’m broken and always saying the wrong things when i actually try for myself

I refuse to be told by a guy who has suggested all neurodivergent Individuals should be institutionalised, and another whose brain was eaten by a worm, that my being autistic is the problem, or a crisis. Autistic individuals aren't the problem, the way we are treated and minimised damn sure is.

Autism doesn’t stop at 18. There are plenty of autistic adults that often get left behind during media coverage because the focus is often on moms of autistic children. It’s another way to erase autistic people’s personhood.
I feel like news publications should put more energy into asking autistic people how they feel about all this because…
