Would be cool if a singular journalist asks if there was such a problem with violence by leftists, why would Trump cut federal focus on domestic terrorism? Wouldn’t that be counteractive?

Neo-Nazis appeared in Lincoln Heights (metro Cincinnati) Ohio and got ran out of dodge… but not before locals stole and burned their swastika flag in the street.

Notably Tarrio and Rhodes both had terrorism enhancements to their sentences. (Tarrio was sentenced by a Trump-appointed judge.)
Jan 6 was investigated and largely prosecuted as domestic terrorism. The pardons should be reported and spoken of accordingly. An endorsement of terrorism. Trump sprung his terrorist network - including, by extension, himself.

All there is is what can be observed. I don’t need to know what is in Biden’s “heart” when he shipped arms for genocide, all that matters is what he did. I don’t need to know with metaphysical certainty that Musk is a Nazi (or what this even means) to observe he deliberately did a Nazi salute

There must be something to be said for reality. If one has to, with 100% certainty, know what is in someone’s heart or whatever to determine political acts, then nothing is true. Then we are awash in 100% unobservable solipsism. Nothing is real and all we have is presumed good faith.

Again we are in “there are five lights” territory. Musk doing a fascist salute is an objective reality, what he did couldnt possibly be mistaken for anything else. It is clear as day. It is as true a statement as “gravity exists” or “the Eiffel tower is in Paris”. This is pure rejection of reality

But he supports Israel so he's clearly not antisemitic.
Elon Musk:

- Welcomed neo-Nazis to X
- Replies to neo-Nazis on X
- Reposts neo-Nazis on X
- Funds neo-Nazis through X
- Engages with racist memes on X
- Posts racist, anti-trans and other bigoted rhetoric on X
- Performed three Nazi salutes on stage while the world was watching

This isn't hard.

How did the U.S. let Israel get away with widespread horrors in Gaza?

When confronted with the question of how the desire to improve the world fits with the notion of time presented in Slaughterhouse-Five, Vonnegut responded "you understand, of course, that everything I say is horseshit."

Every day we get smacked in the face with more reasons why things should be publicly owned. SO much of what we rely on is for profit instead of for public interest.
Seen those videos of planes flying low and dousing the Palisades Fire with water? Those are the most in-demand aircraft in the world. What's more: They were out of production from 2015 until last year (!)
The World’s Most Desperately Needed Airplane Is Back in Production
Manufacturer De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is rapidly bringing a water-bombing aircraft back into production as orders have surged due to raging wildfires fueled by climate change.

If it's any consolation, Earth in the Star Trek universe *right now* is still undergoing a rolling series of geopolitical and humanitarian crisis that will culminate in a third of the human race being killed in a general nuclear exchange, scheduled to kick off in just a few decades.

any billionaire buying Wikipedia would be a tragedy, "on the good side" or not. we need to stop divvying up all the important institutions along billionaires and then relying on their good graces — look how it's gone so far.
Isn’t there a democratic billionaire who can buy Wikipedia and keep it free of Rich White MAGA Separatists??

Please we need a wealthy benefactor who’s on the good side, the sane side, the kind side, the normal American side
As I wrote last week: "As other information sources fall, Wikipedia’s stubborn independence becomes more vital than ever. The attacks from [the right] aren't just about an online encyclopedia — they're part of a broader assault on any information source that refuses to be controlled."
