I put nothing on here my eldest daughter would be ashamed of me for, if she joined and saw it.

Apart from the bit about the mashed potato sandwich she ate.
Saw a rare photo floating about on here. Vincent Price alongside Anna May Wong, Frederic Tozere and Mackay Morris for the 1937 stage production of "Turandot". The posted original was cropped greatly. Found the wider shot on a Russian account. Expanded and colourised by me. I was bored.

A solicitor, Andrew Milne has been bullying leaseholders across Sheffield into paying him extraordinary sums, with no legal basis.

Why hasn't the SRA stopped him? Because he's conducted an extraordinary campaign against the SRA. 180 complaints. Two judicial reviews.

You've just died.
The 6th picture in your phone gallery is what killed you.

I suppose I wouldn't be expecting a sailing ship suddenly running me over.

When out to empty some rubbish into the bins. Simon the businessman was stood smoking a fag.
"Oh, hi, Simon. You look stressed"
"Knackered, Dave. Just got back from Dubai. Geneva next."
"Must be nice"
"Nah. 29 business trips this year. I hardly live here anymore. I'm a stranger even at home"

I received an email at work that immediately went into the 'to persue later' folder. If you're aggressive, demanding, insulting, you go into that folder. It's marked 'low priority'.

Remembering this when Fortnite sucked its entire game worldwide into a black hole and downed all their servers for 36+hours in 2019.
My son was heartbroken. Many tears were shed.

We could always go one better to make our judicial system extremely efficient.
"If I was innocent I'd prefer trial by judge. If was guilty, I'd prefer trial by jury"

In the vast majority of European countries you'd be facing a panel of judges or a judge led inquisitorial system going over the facts and evidence, rather than the adversarial with a jury where witnesses and experts are actively attacked by barristers for the prosecution & defence.

Love it when someone complains in an email that it took 4 days to address the comments on a peer review when they sent it on Friday after I left for the day & I addressed them Monday when I returned to work. I kindly pointed out they had the report since 30th Oct breaching SOPs 14 day turnaround.

Enhancement of an unknown woman by Autochrome photographer Gustav Gain in Normandy 1910. The colours are still there, but due to the potato starch grains used during the process it has faded greatly. For a low light shot like this she would have had to stay still for 8 seconds +

"Time to wake up, sweetheart" kiss on forehead.
"Urgh. I'm coming"
10 mins later I find her wrapped in place not moved.
"Time to get up, Saffy Duck" grabs duvet & walks away with it.
"No, no, no! Argh, it's cold!" She reaches for her blanket. I take that too. "I'm up, dad. I'm up! I hate Mondays"

Just experimenting with enhancing Autochrome shot of Christina Elizabeth Frances Bevan, who would have been 16 when the photo were taken in Dorset in 1912.
