I think this comes from a good place but I disagree. A common thread in deradicalization stories is stigma: Once people start losing friends and jobs they reconsider their beliefs.
Obviously you should try to be nice to people but you also need to draw a line where you won’t engage anymore.

Cis folks: reach is relative. You probably don't have the clout to support trans folks in People magazine. But you *do* have influence with the people around you. Work, family, community. Use it.

Rowling has come after trans people and is now coming after ace people-- she now just has to come after bi folk and she would have gotten all of my queer identities.
