Watch the seismic waves from the magnitude 8.8 earthquake off the coast of Russia sweep beneath seismic stations in North America.

By the time the waves reached North America, they are far too small to be felt by people, but can still be detected by seismic instruments. 🧪

Remembering this trans man for Pride. Mexican Revolutionary Amelio Robles Ávila, who threatened to shoot anyone who misgendered him and said "he did not want to die without being known as a man,” lived his life as a man after transitioning. One of Zapata’s top commanders.

Remembering Dr. Alan Hart for Pride, trans man from the early 1900s. He revolutionized the detection of tuberculosis, saved thousands of lives, and died using his name, as the man he always was meant to be.

Remembering Chevalière d'Éon for Pride. A transgender woman in the 1700s who was also a spy and who turned double agent, extorted an entire monarchy to get her gender marker changed, and lived her life as a woman in a time when such was thought impossible.

We have always been here.

Remembering trans man Albert Cashier for Pride, Union soldier during the civil war, was captured, marched a thousand miles without them figuring out his assigned sex at birth, escaped, and went right back to fighting them.

Lived the rest of his life as a man.

We have always been here.

Oh, now, this is cool!
If you do a close read not only of the Bible but the archeology,

it starts to look like the Israelites, & all but a couple of Judean kings, worshipped a goddess for pretty much the whole First Temple era.

The implications of this are... far ranging--

& her name might not be what we've believed.

i actually love the fact that on most saturdays LA neighborhoods smell like fabuloso as everyone opens the windows and cleans their homes and apartments. it’s a working city and on saturdays we clean.
When I was walking around Los Angeles last week, the whole city smelled like Bounce dryer sheets. Philadelphia smells like lilies of the valley right now.

Here's the footage I've been trying to get for at least 2 years:

A wood duckling.

Someone posted to here there are photography friendly wood ducklings in Eureka, CA where you can use reeds as blinds.

I knew there had to be somewhere within 600 miles.

Yesterday 10 were reported. 1 survived. 🪶 🐣

I remember the moment back in art school when my classmate Scott Multer and I first saw this illustration by Harold Von Schmidt and it sank in that clouds, which we'd both been treating as part of a flat backdrop in the sky, are actually objects viewed in perspective.

Counterpoint: It all matters.

Every breathe you take. Every choice you make.

You matter, so everything you do matters.

There is something divine in all life, and everything you do is important. It is sacred. It is holy. Because you are part of the divine.

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.
