I'm not trying to downplay what dealing with cancer is like. But it's not the only thing that can derail your life as a chronic health problem.

I'm not trying to downplay what dealing with cancer is like. But it's not the only thing that can derail your life as a chronic health problem.

The party that promised "free speech on campus" has made sure there can be no free speech on campuses.
This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

There's no way to really get a feel for the scale of this. Even having your brain tell you it is not slowed down. These forces are so much greater than what we can conceptualize.

Child marriage is heinous, but one thing I never see brought up in those discussions is that if you are under 18, you cannot file for divorce. If you are under 18 and married to an adult, they are your legal guardian and make decisions for you. That is not a partnership.
